The Inge House (as it is known today) was built by Ingimundur Eiriksson (always called Ingi, and signed himself I. E. Inge) an Icelandic settler. It is located near the Foam Lake Marsh viewing tower in an area which is considered to be the first Icelandic settlement in Saskatchewan.

There are rumours that Inge House is haunted possibly by one of the early settler's children who reportedly died from severe burns. This appears to be just a rumour with no substantiated reports at least none that we could find at this time. It is said the locals and visitors to the area have heard strange sounds emanating from the house, which may or may not have contributed to the belief that it is haunted.
