Within the annals of ufology, a mysterious experience of some witnesses, is that of  "missing time"  Probably the most well known example of this aspect of UFO events, is the case of Betty and Barney Hill.

Though we tend to associate the concept of losing time, or "missing time" with classic abduction scenarios like the Hills case, it can also potentially occur under less dramatic circumstances.  Considering that for every UFO sighting reported there are probably hundreds or maybe even thousands that are not, perhaps many more people have had the "missing time" experience then we could ever know.

Such is the case of Richard C. of Orangeville Ontario, who recently came forward to recount an experience earlier in his life that he has never been able to reconcile.

Richard grew up in rural southern Ontario.  It was in the spring of 1975, that Richard, a teen at the time, was relaxing in the evening watching a favourite television show.  As the show ended, Richard, seemingly for no reason, felt compelled to walk outside to his backyard.  He walked away from the house, until he came upon something that startled him.  There on the ground, about twenty feet from the property's well, was a glowing white circle of light ten to fifteen feet in diameter. It seemed to be moving about erratically circling around the area.

Richard was surprised and had the thought that perhaps someone was playing a prank on him but he quickly ruled that out.  He turned his gaze up to the sky to see if he could discover the source of the light. Then he found himself walking back into the house.  When he entered he was shocked to find that approximately one half an hour had passed since he first walked outside.  He saw that the television show that followed the one he had just watched, was now ending.  He had no idea as to what had occurred during that half hour and he was never able to figure it out.

After that happened and into his adulthood, Richard found that he had clairvoyant dreams on a regular basis.  He is a very open-minded individual who is perhaps more in touch with the spiritual side of reality. For example, when a loved one passed away, Richard believed he saw his soul leave his body in the form of a grey curl of smoke emanating from the forehead.  Richard and his family have also had experiences with ghosts.

He and his wife describe have had the benefit of seeming "divine intervention" in the form of money showing up unexpectedly in a time of crisis.  Perhaps Richard's worldview and psychic tendencies were related to what happened during that missing half hour. In the end it is definitely more life affirming to carry on with the belief that whatever did happen, it was to his benefit.
