UFO details report: I was doing my security rounds at 100a ave - 179a st. (Edmonton, ab, canada) at 3:15am when i heard the city police helicopter above me circling our area. It had its lights off except a red flashing light - flashing. As I was observing the police helicopter circling our area I noticed high above it was a yellowing glow light that appeared solid slowly floating towards the city (eastbound) along 100th ave area. The glowing light was overhead at cloud level and was cutting in and out of the clouds heading towards the city center. The police helicopter was halfway between the ground and the clouds below the object. The police helicopter circled a few times and then left heading towards west Edmonton mall (south) and the glowing object continued to float towards the city. I lost track of it when it went out of my view (I had some buildings blocking my view). I seen this for just over a minute in duration.
The witness had a second sighting on the 27th:
UFO details report: I just seen another yellow glowing light in the west end of Edmonton - 100th ave 179a st area at 3:03am on 07/27/2015 during my security rounds. This is the second time this week that I've seen this same light in the same area. The city police helicopter just passed by my area about 3 minutes before on its way towards the st. albert area - a few kilometers to my north (the helicopter was still seen in the sky to my north) when i noticed this light appear just west of my location overhead heading eastward towards the city center direction. it disappeared into some low level clouds after about 45 - 60 seconds.
The witness has attempted to take video and has also sent some stills of the objects in question. He alerted another person who also witnessed the object and is on the video (for privacy sake we will not upload the videos). We can say it is impossible to positively identify what the witness has seen from the video or images, and we have given him some advice that might be helpful should these be seen again.
