The "Lady in White" is associated with the Montmorency Falls. Her legend involves a love story between herself, and a young soldier. The Lady in White and the soldier were engaged, and during the midst of their wedding preperations he was called away to battle. The Lady was quite worried and feared that her fiancée would be killed during the summer military campaign.
During a battle at Montmorency Falls in 1759 the young soldier lost his life. The Lady was suffering tremendous grief at her loss, and as the story goes went out each night calling the young soldier's name in a vain hope that he may somehow return to her.
The following year the Lady put on her wedding dress and threw herself into the Montmorency Falls. Her body was never recovered.
To this day there are some people who claim they have seen the Lady in White through the mists of the Montmorency Falls.
