Eyewitness Encounters
The following was sent in to us in 2015, but the experience occurred in 1996. Our thanks to the witness for sharing her encounter:
"We were at my Husbands home farm in Cumberland/Rocky Point PEI on a Sunday afternoon. I took our children out in the front yard to play and we heard a weird noise and saw the "Burning Ship" out near St. Peter's Island. I was frantic and ran into the house to tell my Mother-in-Law and she said not to worry that it was the Ghost Ship. I ran back outside and watched as it sank into the water. The fire was as real looking as it could be...and the noise still resonates. I enjoy hearing stories of the Northumberland Ghost Ship and purchased many postcards offered by Canada Post last year on the subject to share with my relatives!"
