Northwest London, Ontario A Dark Colored UFO

Date:  June 11, 2008
Time:  7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Northwest London Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 6
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Ellipsoid.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing on the back deck of my house with my parents and roommates at around 7pm on 11 June 2008.  Looking north, we were able to see a single object in the sky. It was dark in colour (it was still light outside) and appeared to be off in the distance.  It was moving rather rapidly in an odd manner (loops, circles, lines, abrupt changes of direction, etc.), like no bird or airplane I have ever seen.  Due to the distance at which we observed it, I find it unlikely that it was a kite or model airplane.  I ran inside to grab binoculars or a camera to obtain a closer look or film the object, however I could locate neither and by the time I went back outside the object had disappeared.  Naturally I consider it to be a UFO as I have not been able to identify it based on any common aerial object I can think of, whether it was of extraterrestrial origin or not is a whole other matter.  I am interested to know if anyone else in the London, Ontario area witnessed something similar on or around the date of 11 June 2008.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Bauline, Newfoundland An Orange Glowing Oval Shaped Object

Date:  October 31, 2008
Time:  Approx: 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Bauline.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving home and when I looked north toward the water and saw an orange glow in the sky. It did not move much. I used to work for an aerospace company and I know aircraft and this was nothing local. I'm thinking this is linked to a report for October 30, 2008 at approx: 8:00 p.m. Just so you know, a lady called into the Open Line show on VOCM the next morning, which I just happened to catch. I as well called (not on the air) and said I saw something as well.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Campbelltown, New South Wales Witness Believes They Observed Lanterns

Date:  December 31, 2008
Time:  Between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: The object was perfectly round in shape.
Weather Conditions: Clear sky with no clouds, excellent weather conditions.

Description: My husband and I were sitting out in our back yard to view the new years fire works display that takes place at midnight from Koshigaye park Campbelltown. Whilst sitting I could not help but to gaze into the sky as conditions were so clear that I could observe all the stars, suddenly almost out of no where I noticed this completely round in shape bright light. I called to my husband who said to me the most obvious, it's a plane, I replied oh no way, this object was one solid mass of light with no obvious flashing lights of a plane. I was so convinced it was not of this world hence my eyes did not leave it for a second.

As myself and my husband followed the object it just disappeared into nothingness, it was the most crazy thing. I sat bewildered, it just vanished into thin air.
This was by all accounts something that could not be identified, there was in my opinion no logical explanation for this object. As I stated this object was in no absolute way an Aircraft.

-----

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, well after viewing some video footage and reading about the UFO lanterns it is probable that what I seen that night was a Lantern.

I cant be 100% certain but it is a logical explanation.

Time:  20:50

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Shuttlecock.
Weather Conditions: Cold and clear.

Description: I was standing at my back door having a quiet cigarette when I noticed this orange object getting lower and lower and heading in my direction at about 3000ft. The object then came to a full stop and the head of the object then shot off from the body faster than a helicopter or an aeroplane could travel. The head moved in a northeastern direction and the body shot off in an eastern direction travelling upwards back towards the atmosphere.

Bordon, Hampshire, England Orange Globes/Objects

Date:  December 31, 2008
Time:  17:45

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 7
Shape of objects: Orange round globes we found a similar example on YouTube.
Weather Conditions: Still, -1 degrees but foggy.

Description: We were driving back with our children and I saw an orange globe in the sky, at first I thought it was a flare from the army ranges, then maybe a new firework to celebrate new year.

Then another appeared followed by another then another. We saw 7 maybe 8 in total. They all moved in the same direction in a straight line but at different speeds. Some were slow and 2 very fast. I looked for tail lights to see if it was helicopters.

I can't really explain what we saw, and I am puzzled by it as I am a very logical person.

I think maybe it may have something to do with the army, but the globes weren't coming from the camp or the ranges. My only other thought is perhaps they were lanterns, but they seemed quite odd.

I found something similar to what we saw on you tube in Southampton, as unfortunately my partners phone photos didn't pick up the globes at all well.

I have added this link as I am trying to work out what we saw...what do you think?

Perth, Western Australia An Oval Shaped UFO

Date:  December 31, 2008
Time:  Around 11:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval shape
Weather Conditions: Slightly windy

Description: I was in bed about to go to sleep when I looked out of my window and noticed something hovering around the streetlight (well thats where it looked like it was, but it was most definitely far behind the street light, just that it looked like it was using the street light as something to hide behind or something. It was like an oval shape sort of thing and whenever the wind would blow hard thats when the thing I saw moved a lot and then hovered back into place and stayed there for a long period of time. I am not sure if this was a real UFO and am here for guidance because I have been doing research on UFO's etc. and I have read somewhere that if you get involved in researching and talking about UFO's and things like that, you will be targeted or something and will have UFO encounters. I have not told anyone about my UFO sighting yet because of people thinking I am just seeing things and I thought I might have been but I felt slightly scared and left it at that for the night and shut the blinds.

TV/Radio: No Tv/Radio coverage because I have not told anyone yet and personally don't plan to because of fear, but if I hear that others around my street have seen it to, then I will gladly report my findings with them and go to the press, but even then I am still worried that the press will ridicule us or that I will be ridiculed by others etc.

-----

Relevant part of my reply to the witness:

Thank you for the submission to UFOINFO.

My interest in UFOs has been for over 17 years now and I have not been 'targeted' so I personally think you can sleep easy with that one.

As for your sighting I would have suggested a 'ufo balloon' (lantern) but it would have eventually flown off or disappeared. The only other thing that comes to mind is a tethered balloon, perhaps from a display or event? Would suggest having a look this evening to see if it is still there.

-----

Reply from the witness:

Hello Mr. Hayes,

Thank you, that puts my worries at ease.

I did check last night if the UFO was still there and whether it would be just something hanging off the lights or if it was somehow caused by something natural and I looked at the street light again from all different angles and at different times at night and I could not see anything like I saw on New Years Eve and believe the UFO hovered too far away from the light at some points to be connected or attached to the light. Yes personally at that evening that I saw the UFO, I figured that it might be something to do with the streetlight, but when i checked in the morning, nothing was on the streetlight and I checked at the beach, no litter was around there that could say that it was hanging off the streetlight and no one was playing with balloons that night as all of that partying was happening in Central Perth or Kings Park. Thank you for your support.

Yours Sincerely,

[Name deleted]

P.S. - If you have any more theories regarding this, please share with me because I am interested to know.

Ashton under Lyne, Manchester, Lancashire, England 3 Orange Objects

Time:  00:00

Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Dome top flat bottom.
Weather Conditions: Clear (star light).

Description: We looked outside to watch the new year fireworks when we noticed 3 stationary objects in the sky, at first we thought what great fireworks then together in a row they started to move towards us. Then the on in the center moved faster and lower into a triangle formation. The one to our right then moved up and to the right turning and disappearing, the other two then followed this arc, about three minuets later two more objects appeared and followed the same line. The objects looked like fires in the sky flame orange to the eye with a dome top and flat rectangle bottom.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John, I have looked at the 'UFO' balloons and can confirm these are not what we saw. The colour was about the same however the movement appeared controlled and the hight they reached before finally disappearing in a clear sky could not have been reached by such devices. Best Regards.

Rayleigh Essex Looking Toward Southend/Shoebury, UK

Date:  January 1, 2009
Time:  01.15

Location of Sighting: Rayleigh Essex looking toward Southend/Shoebury.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Appeared round but were lights in a dark sky.

Full Description of event/sighting: Noticed three orange lights initially stationary, in the formation of an equilateral triangle. They appeared east of us difficult to estimate the distance but seemed more distant than close i.e. largish objects far away not small objects up close.

Two of them headed south remaining equi-distant to each other whilst the 3rd stayed where it was then some seconds later followed, caught up rejoining the other two. All three seemed to accelerate and as they moved off towards the south over the estuary they climbed into cloud disappearing from view.

We saw them for around three minutes as we walked around 150 metres in total including pausing to stop and stare at them. They seemed to be on a heading of south and were around 20 degrees from the horizon when first formed in their triangle.

Reported them to our local BBC Essex station who wondered if they were aircraft (definitely not no navigation or landing lights) which we are familiar with as we live near the airport. They suggested atmospheric conditions which I asked them to explain to me - not heard back yet.

Also logged it with a local ufo group. Fascinated to see the report from Shoebury approx: 8 miles east of us though it seems a different time. I also found other reports of similar orange lights.

I wrote down some notes the next morning and estimated a bearing using google earth which would have placed them somewhere over Southend/the estuary i.e. very close to Shoebury.

Welcome any thoughts on what they might be - discounting chinese lanterns by the formation and varying speeds etc. which seems unlikely. Neither flares or fireworks. Would love to know from the airport if there were any aircraft around or any radar records etc.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Area Of Limmer Lane And Cressex Road, High Wycombe, Bucks Objects

Date:  January 1, 2009
Time:  00.25am approx (for about 10 mins)

Number of witnesses: 3 (2 adults & 1 x 11 yr old)
Number of objects: 3 in total
Shape of objects: They looked like candles in yellow with red edges, the shape was box like with a curve at the bottom edge.
Weather Conditions: Very high cloud cover, dark as it was nightime, just after we'd seen the New Year in, on our way back home via the back country roads from Marlow, Bucks.

Description: There was a pair of these objects, that looked like nothing we've ever seen. We are very near a local airfield so we know what the small planes and police helicopters that fly around here, look and sound like. These objects were silent, and when I tried to photograph them, they moved and disappeared yet then reappeared, as if playing hide and seek, knowing I was trying to photograph them. Once the two objects floated away and couldn't be seen, only one came back. They floated and glided silently, and turned on an axis, unlike anything we see flying around here. Neither of us adults had been
drinking even though it was New Year so we weren't imagining this, and our 11 yr old Son saw this too, much more clearly as he doesn't wear glasses. He's seen this before a few years back with me from our back garden. We also have had hot air balloons flying near here as we've seen these, and again, these objects were nothing like any "earthly" flying machines. Very unusual and spooky in a way.

North Harrow, UK Three Orange/Apricot Coloured Lights

Date:  January 1, 2009
Time:  Approx: 5:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: North Harrow.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: spherical or slightly oval.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving the car towards home and my partner was in the passenger seat. As we approached the traffic lights after North Harrow tube station, I saw 3 equidistant orange/apricot coloured lights in the night sky to my right. They were in a line, stepped in height above the rooftops.

What alerted me was that they were hovering, not travelling and were so equidistant. I felt quite excited to see them but my partner was irritated and said don't be silly, they're probably helicopters, concentrate on the road.

Our home is on the approach to nearby RAF Northolt airfield, so we're very familiar with planes on approach etc, but this looked different. I also might've expected sound from 3 helicopters. Thank you for the opportunity to report this.

Ipswich, Suffolk, England Five Bright Orange Lights

Date:  January 1, 2009
Time:  00:15

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 5
Shape of objects: Lights.
Weather Conditions: High cloud cover.

Description: At approx 20 past midnight on new years day morning I was going to bed as I had to work the next day and I leaned out my window for a cigarette looking to the south I saw two bright orange lights several miles away the height of the objects was at least two thousand feet the where travelling from the east towards the south at took approx 5 minutes to disappear from view. While the lights where in motion the appeared to leap frog each other, one would travel a certain distance slow down to a near halt and the other light would take the lead the this would be repeated. The lights then appeared to climb slowly out of view into the southern sky. This was repeated by two more sets of lights who appeared in the east as the first set where disappearing and finally by one light, the entire event lasted approx 15 minutes. I believe the full set of lights appeared again in a circle formation approx 5-10 minutes later but can not be certain of this as my view of the return was partially blocked by trees.

St. Cloud Becker, Minnesota Possible Disc To Triangle/Teardrop UFO

Date:  12-24-2008, 1-2-2009
Time:  7:45 - 9:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: St. Cloud-Becker, MN.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1-5
Shape of objects: Unsure maybe disc to triangle/teardrop.

Full Description of event/sighting: On the first occasion on 24 December 2008, I was attending a Christmas party at my In Laws.  I stepped outside to get away from all of the holiday cheer about 7:30-8:00 pm.  I was at the time located about 5 miles NE of Kingston, MN.  I looked to the East toward a tree line about 500 yards from my location, and a very bright, red/orange light caught my attention.  I could not judge how far away the light was from me but I was to guess about 2-5 miles away.  I observed the light for about 2 minutes, before it was accompanied by another light that seemed to come from 10 miles away.  This light was the same red/orange color, at time pulsating to sometimes so dim I could barely see it (meanwhile the other object was still bright as could be and the same 2-5 mile distance from me.)  I must add that the visibility conditions were quite well that evening with a heavy cloud cover.  So these objects were below the clouds.

I kept watching for about 10 minutes before I got cold and went back inside.  In that 10 minutes I observed the objects descend below the tree line and come back up above the trees in a straight vertical motion.  Objects did not appear to move very fast but they would always stop at a certain point in the sky and no higher. On second occasion 2 January 2009 approx: 7:30-8:00PM,  I was heading South from St. Cloud, MN to South Haven, MN on Stearns County road 7 Wright County Road 2, to do some night time ice fishing on Moses Lake South of South Haven.

I observed 3 very bright red/orange lights which pulsated and dimmed, off to the east of me around the Clearwater/Clear lake area(5-10 MI from my location).  I watched them form a straight horizontal line formation seeming that each object was equal-distant apart then within a matter of a second they were staggered and further apart from each other but still equal-distant.  At that time I grabbed my phone and called a friend that lives in the town of Clear Lake,MN and told him to get in his car and track these down.  He headed south east toward Becker, MN coal power plant, were he caught sight of the same objects.

He described them as a possible teardrop shape with pulsating white, orange, and red lights.  My friend and I were on the phone with each other describing the exact same things for about 15 minutes, which at one point 2 other objects appeared and one disappeared and reappeared to within 5 miles from my location(at this point I was in the town of south haven, MN on MN Hwy 55.)  The only way I could judge the distance at this point was because in that area of the highway, each town from Rockford, MN to Eden Valley/Watkins, MN the towns are equally 5 miles apart.  After that I told my friend to keep me alerted to what was going on and i hung up the phone.  For the next hour or so while i was setting up my fish house he was still tracking the objects.

This is not the first time I have seen the same lights, and am very familiar with air traffic due to living a stones throw away from the St. Cloud, MN regional airport.  I have been observing these same objects for at least 8 years.   All the same thing and in the same area, and either from November-January or from June-August.  Very unusual and are definitely not airplanes or helicopters,  and also occupying the air space above power plants.

Thank you to the witness for their good sighting report.

Location of Sighting: US 19 and Bolton Ave.
Number of witnesses: 4+
Number of objects: 25+
Shape of objects: Round with orange glow.

Full Description of event/sighting: Driving home from restaurant on US 19 on Jan. 3, 2009 saw a cluster of about 25 objects about 300 ft. above the ground traveling west toward the Gulf of Mexico.  We stopped car near Bolton Ave. and got out . We saw other cars stop and passengers got out of their cars to look as well. The objects moved west than began to get higher and higher in the air until they disappeared. We thought that they were some type of balloon because there seemed to be orange flames coming from them.

We got home and looked at the local TV news channels but this was never reported as far as we know. There were several other witnesses along the road all watching at the same time.

We did not have a camera with us but perhaps some of the other observers did. We wondered why the newspapers and TV stations did not cover this.

Location of Sighting: Morristown NJ - Eastern sky towards EWR.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 5
Shape of objects: 5 red blinking lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: At first there were 5 very bright red glowing lights swaying in a random format over eastern Morris county, looking east from Mennen Arena area in Morris Twp, NJ. Very high up in the sky. There were no trees to block the view. clear skies. Some planes flying about the area. The random lights remained in the same vicinity, not flying, just swaying as if glued to high tree tops swaying back and forth to and fro in the wind. This went on for about 5 minutes. Then they started moving about randomly and then formed into what looked like the 5 'points" of a peach sign (without the circle). It remained that way for about 5 mins. Then they seemed to fade a bit and the first one disappeared. Then the next one disappeared. Then the 3rd one moved behind the 4th remaining one and then seemed to fall slowly below the tree line. Then the 4th disappeared. Then finally after 5 mins the last one disappeared. Then they were all gone.

I was in the car. I called my husband in Mendham, NJ. he went out front to look and saw 3 of the lights over the tree tops. I drove to my girlfriend's house in Morris Plains (5 mins from initial sighting) while on the phone with her she went outside with her husband. They saw 3 of the lights over the tree tops.

Mortimer, Berkshire UK UFO Pulls Off Fancy Maneuvers

Date:  January 6, 2009
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Mortimer, Berkshire.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval.

Full Description of event/sighting: I would like to report a UFO sighting that took place on the 6th of January 2009. It was around 10:00pm UK time in the evening when I went upstairs to my bedroom to look out the window to see what the weather was doing. It was a very clear night, the moon was shining very brightly and so were the stars.

However, as I was looking into the sky something caught my attention; my eyes were immediately drawn to a bright object behind the trees. At first, I wasn't really sure what I was looking at, to me it looked like a bright star, however, it was the brightest object in the sky with the exception of the moon.

That theory was quickly ruled out when it began pulling off incredibly fast movements behind the trees. It suddenly started moving from behind the tree in what I could best describe as fast short burst movements. It would suddenly move quickly and then just as suddenly stop dead in the sky. To give you an idea of the location, where I live we have a lot of trees surrounding our house, with two large trees at the front of our driveway. The object moved from behind one of the trees we have and settled in position between the two large trees.

What amazed me was its variety of movements, it was moving up and down left and right and even diagonally and at times all within one movement and very quickly. The object appeared as a strobing bright whitish light that wasn't really round, the way the light was in appearance suggested to me it was more of an oval shape object. But it appeared to be strobing very quickly, almost to a flicker kind of rate. I was absolutely mesmerized by this object; it was pretty amazing to observe what it was doing. This object didn't appear to be very close; to me it was a typical size of a star, but maybe just slightly bigger.

Another thing I would like to add to this sighting was the fact that while I was observing this object I was getting a kind of an emotional response to it. Wasn't sure if this would be of any help or if indeed it has any relevance but I thought I would mention it anyway. It was strange to me.

The actual sighting lasted for around 25 mins or more, I couldn't keep myself awake any longer and had to go to bed. I can't really say how long that object was in the sky, but it seemed to be lingering for quite a while.

However, this morning I had another surprise on my way to dropping my wife off to work. Our local radio station announced a UFO flap that's been taking place in the Reading area I live in and even stretching as far as Oxford as well. I thought I would mention this, as it might help you verify more on the report I am giving you today.

I really do not know what is was, but I do know what it wasn't; you can rule out blimps, flares, aeroplanes, and helicopters etc. What I saw was nothing related to conventional explanations and I am absolutely convinced it was very much out of the ordinary. I wished I had got it on camera, but unfortunately none of my equipment was charged up, so frustratingly I couldn't use anything to capture the object.

This isn't the first time I have witnessed a UFO, I have had previous experiences with them in the past also, but this has been the best one so far.

I hope this report helps you in your investigations.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Barry Wales An Glowing Orange Object

Date:  January 7, 2009
Time:  9:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round.

Full Description of event/sighting: At 21:15PM I was outside the back of my house when I saw a glowing orange object in the sky over Barry, towards the Bristol Channel. I first thought it was a plane, or maybe a helicopter but noticed that it did not have any navigation lights. I ruled out a flare as it did not stay in the sky or hover, and it was moving and looked like it was coming closer to my location.

The orange light looked as if it was rotating or sending light upwards, it was quite difficult to focus clearly on it because of the glowing effect it made.

I rushed back into my house and asked my girlfriend and her son to take a look, I also asked two neighbours to look, and they were all perplexed at the sight. The object slowly moved upwards and was finally obscured by clouds.

Thank you to the witness for their sightign report.

I watched the thing with the binos quickly disappear over the pacific.

Los Angeles, California A Single Bright Light

Date:  January 8, 2009
Time:  4:45 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Los Angeles, CA.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Single Light.

Full Description of event/sighting: The skies were clear and the stars were very visible. I was walking into Griffith Park in Los Angeles and happened to look up. Directly overhead I noticed a small light, very high and about the brightness of the stars in Ursa Major. It was moving south much slower than a satellite. As I continued to watch it made a wide 90% turn to the west and slowly disappeared. The whole sighting took about 2 minutes.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
