Quebec

We received the following account of what may be a poltergeist from one of our readers in Richmond Quebec:

"A friend and her husband were visiting me and were staying overnight before going to a club meeting early the next day.  Sometime between 2:30 and 3:00 am, I was awakened by my friend who was standing in my doorway asking if I was awake.  When I replied "I am now" she proceeded to tell me that she had been awakened by someone or something lifting her to a sitting position in her bed by her shoulder and then had her sweater thrown in her face.  She was then told "go and get Pat but don't cross the water line".  When I eventually gathered my wits about me, I realized that there were damp spots on my bed and there was a trail of water from the doorway across the floor to the end of my bed.  The strange thing is that my dog sleeps on my bed with me and he never awoke or moved until I actually sat up in bed.  He's very sensitive to noise in the old house and had my friend attempted to enter my room, he would have instantly jumped up to approach her. After cleaning up the water, we went downstairs for a cup of tea to calm down (my friend, not me - I like my ghostly housemate) whereupon my ghost kept popping in and out (by the sink none-the-less) and when we decided to go back to bed an hour later, I fell back asleep without any problem while my friend continued to have some.  Her bed felt like it had been filled with ice cubes (cold and damp) while her husband's (who never awoke at all) was warm and dry."
