PSICAN or Paranormal Studies & Investigations Canada is a divergent group of volunteers examining and learning about the paranormal. We work on the main principal of being neutral or "agnostic" in our work without favour to any theory of what the causation of perceived paranormal events may be. We endeavour to keep ourselves grounded with an open mind towards possible causation of things that are perceived to be paranormal... be it a "natural" or "supernatural" explanation... and we are not afraid to say the words We Don't Know.

PSICAN operates on several "rules" about it's work... but please note the first rule...

PSICAN is a Canadian group which is primarily focused only on Canada.

If it's an experience with UFOs or ghosts, you'll find forms you can fill out in the respective sections on our site. (Click the sections on the left-hand side to find them.)  A PSICAN investigator, researcher, or volunteer will contact you within five business days of receiving the form.

If/when PSICAN or one of it's members feels it has bone fide or empirical evidence of some sort, it will be included in the paper/article/investigation document from which the evidence came and will be linked on the main PSICAN web page. To date, we do not presume to state that we have "proven" the existence of the paranormal.

Only if the lead researcher/investigator feels it is needed, and only where it is within reasonable commute as determined by one of our volunteer members to do.

A PSICAN Investigator or Researcher is someone who has passed a course or been brought-on by a PSICAN founder because of their experience of knowledge within the field. PSICAN investigators and researchers are tested and under the governance of PSICAN proper.

PSICAN is not a registered charity in Canada.  Therefore, we can accept "gifts" but we cannot issue tax receipts. Every penny given to us does go back into our efforts as a whole. No one is on a "salary" within PSICAN including consultants for whom we do not offer monetary compensation nor does anyone benefit personally/fiscally from gifts made to us.  Click here if you wish to help us out.

No. We do offer information and will try to help when possible, but PSICAN does not offer these services. (Please remember... anyone "charging" you for psychical assistance should be considered carefully... there are plenty of people that will help with their gift for free... and watch out for "inflated" expense claims as well as false or misleading histories/information... sadly, there are plenty of charlatans about and we must all be wary. Caveat emptor.)

If it isn't published already, not likely. As PSICAN is based in Ontario, we abide by The Ontario Privacy Act and are therefore legally unable to provide exact addresses, contact information, or any personal information a witness has not given us express permission to publish or give out.

PSICAN does not sell any information... all our information is online and free...

That said, we do allow individual members and groups to market things like "swag" (clothing and the like) as well as personally written books and information to help fund individual or group activities.

PSICAN itself does not, as a rule, offer these things... but again, you can contact individual members to see if they are interested in perhaps setting up an event.
