This is an exciting must-attend event for those in Southern British Columbia

"We and our partners, including the University of Victoria and Royal Roads University, are pleased to announce an exciting lecture by Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut and the 6th man to walk on the moon. His presentation will take place at the University of Victoria, Sunday, May 31, 2:30-5:00 pm.

Dr. Mitchell's lecture is entitled: The Planet in the Window: Exploring Space, Consciousness and Cosmic Connections. He will speak about his transformative experience of space travel and his research into the nature of consciousness.

All who have been in space flight and observed our planet from afar, have to some extent experienced the phenomenon called “The Overview Effect.” For me, this meant a sense of unity with all that exists, accompanied by a feeling of ecstasy. It required for me, as one of the first generation of space farers from Earth, to seriously re-examine the ancient questions from this new perspective. The ancient questions are: “Who are we”? “How did this all begin”? Where is it going”? “What is our relationship to the larger cosmos”? Dr. Edgar Mitchell, PhD"

Tickets are $45 + GST register here.

We hope to see you on May 31.

Over the years has your belief in the paranormal changed?

The paranormal is "...beset by True Believers ('They must be, therefore they are!') and True Unbelievers ('They can't be, therefore they aren't!') Rare are those who pursue evidence wherever it may lead, no matter how the results may square with their cherished hopes and dreams. Ironically, both the TBists and the TUists see themselves as champions of objective analysis and critical thinking, when in fact they are defenders of their respective faiths and, not incidentally, their egos." - Karl Pflock
